The UA, European leader of the European Commission's main international cooperation programme
TEMPUS international cooperation programme supports modernization and development of higher education in the EU neighbouring countries. The main objective of the programme is to reach convergence with the European university system derived from the Bologna Process. In November, Spain was allocated 9 of the 26 project submitted to the 2nd TEMPUS IV call, seven of which were awarded to the University of Alicante.

Seminar Series on Equal Opportunities for Everyone. Live transmission today, from 4 pm
The UA Observatory for Disability is organizing a seminar series on Equal Opportunities which will be held at the University Venue in Alicante from 10th December'09 to 12 March'10. Some of the topics to be dealt with are the following: education in diversity, disability and sexuality, women and disability, employment and ability, disability in the prison environment, social responsibility and business solidarity, human Rights, accessibility, family and equal opportunities, and dependent care law.

2nd blogs.ua.es Competition
The Office of the Vice President for Technology & Educational Innovation, within the framework of the COPLA project, has announced the 2nd edition of the blogs.ua.es competition. In this regard, all those university members who maintain a blog within the blogs.ua.es domain are invited to participate. The deadline for submission is 22 December 2009.
