1. INTRODUCTION
The Spanish Association of Lexicography Studies (AELex) has the aims of promoting the development of lexicography studies and serving as a communication channel for all subjects and approaches within the field of lexicography, with no restrictions in respect to languages and cultures involved. Hence the motto of this year Conference: “Dictionaries as a bridge between languages and cultures in the world”.
As it was decided in the last meeting of the Association, we invite everybody to the II International Conference on Hispanic Lexicography. It will be held at the University of Alicante ( Spain ), September 19 th -23 rd , 2006.
2. REGISTRATION
People interested in attending the Conference should register in the official web page of the Conference (www.ua.es/congreso/lexicografia ), where you will find the application form.
The registration fees are:
Conference participants: 150 euros
Visitors: 75 euros
Students: 60 euros
The registration fee should be paid to “Universidad de Alicante. II Congreso de Lexicografía”. Make a bank transfer to UNIVERSIDAD DE ALICANTE, bank account no.:

3. SUBMISSIONS OF PROPOSALS
Authors interested in presenting papers at the Conference should send an abstract no longer than 2000 words. Include the text of the abstract in the appropriate field contained in the web registration form ( www.ua.es/congreso/lexicografia ).
4. DEADLINES FOR REGISTRATION AND RECEIPT OF ABSTRACTS
The deadline for receipt of abstracts is 15 th , March, 2006 .
After the review of the papers, a list of authors of accepted papers will be set up on the official web page before April, 30 th , 2006 .
Please, DO NOT pay the conference participant fee before you are informed of the acceptance of your proposal. This payment has to be made between 30 th April and 15 th June into the bank account mentioned above; after that date, the registration fee will be 175 euros for conference participants.
In short, attendants will be given more information about plenary sessions, accommodation and other practical issues.
