Archaeometry Unit

 
INTRODUCCIÓN Y CREACIÓN DE LA UNIDAD


In January 1999, the University of Alicante created the Archaeometry Unit, attached to the Research Technical services, integrated in the Office of the Vice President for Research's Secretariat for Scientific Instrumentation and Research Support.

This Unit has as its main aim the study and application of scientific methodology and instrumental techniques required in most advanced European countries, make necessary the application of the techniques instrumentalespara obtain a more comprehensive understanding of our past.

It is a Unit for research support and serves public institutions (museums, university departments, town halls with heritage services, research centers, etc ...) and private companies (thin film studies, aggregates, archeology firms , etc. ..), also carries out rocks, aggregates, concrete, etc..


Junto a este tipo de trabajos se oferta la realización de informes de impacto Ambiental y modelo digital del territorio así como la elaboración de proyectos de integración del patrimonio arqueológico en entornos urbanizables.
 

La Unidad está compuesta por un equipo interdisciplinar en su contexto mas amplio.

Along with this type of work will offer the performance of environmental impact reports and digital model of territory and the development of integration projects of archaeological heritage in urban environments.

The Unit is composed of an interdisciplinary team in its broader context.
