Public hours of the Library

The regular opening hours of the library is the following:Monday to Friday from 8 am to 9 pm

 

Extraordinary opening at weekends

The Faculty of Arts' Reference Library, sited on the General Library Building's first floor, is open 24 hours a day all the year.Except for 24 and 31 December when it will remain closed from 9 pm to 5 pm of the following day.

Summer opening hours

In July and from 1 to 15 September: from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm
-August: from 8:30 am to 2 pm.
-Law Reference Library:
from 8 am to 2 pm (from 15 July to 15 August)
from 8 am to 8 pm (from 15 August to 15 September)

Christmas opening hours

Closed from 24 December 2003 to 6 January 2004.
Except for the Reference Libraries of Law and the General Library Building (Reference Libraries of Humanities & Social Work and Polytechnic, Optics & Nursing), which open on 26, 29 and 30 December 2003, 2 and 5 January 2004 up to 2 pm..

 

Easter opening hours

Closed from el 8 to 19 April and 1 and 2 May.
Except for the Reference Library of Economics and the General Library (Reference Libraries of Humanities & Social Work and Polytechnic, Optics & Nursing) which open on 8 and from 13 to 16 April up to 2 pm.

Extraordinary examinations opening period

Special public hours for examinations during the academic year 2003/2004:

EXTRAORDINARY OPENING HOURS:

• from 17 November to 21 December 2003
• from 12 January to 13 February 2004
• From 10 May to 4 July 2004
• 9 August to 19 September 2004
• READING HALLS OPENED AT GENERAL LIBRARY BUILDING DURING EXAMINATIONS

EXTRAORDINARY PERIODS:

• The First Floor (24-hour Reading Hall) will remain open during the first week
• The Second Floor and the Ground floor, from 8 am to 3 am of the day following
• Additionally, the lecture rooms 'Sótano 1' and 'Sótano 2' -at the Lecture Building no. 2- will remain open from 9 am to 9 pm at weekends and public holidays,

USERS:

• From Monday to Friday: Free admission up to 3 pm. From that time on, admission is only allowed to university members.
• Weekends and public holidays: Admission is only allowed to university members. Those not belonging to this group, can be admitted in the rooms available at the Lecture Room Building no. 2.
