The University of Alicante is one of the institutions committed to the project for the creation of Fundación Centro Agost/ Museo de Alfarería (Agost Foundation Centre/ Pottery Museum), funded to save the collection gathered by Ilse Schütz, model representative for the social productive organisation and adaptation of an ancient pottery activity. By doing so, this project constitutes a deep study on a traditional society devoted to the pottery activity.
The University of Alicante will develop research works on ceramic techniques and collaborate in the museum funds diffusion.
A wide range of activities connected with pottery (including workshops on several techniques) is currently held at this museum.
