Could the Mediterranean Sea dry up in the future? Scientists at the University of Alicante may be able to help answer this question thanks to their ongoing research into Mediterranean Sea levels in other eras. Results so far indicate that at least part of the Sea was dry land millions of years ago. Knowing why it dried up could help scientists predict what we can expect to happen to the Mediterranean in the years ahead.

This morning, the 1st Gender Equality Plan between Women & Men of the University of Alicante has taken place with the attendance of the University President, Ignacio Jiménez Raneda and Mª José Frau, Director of the Gender Equality Unit. The UA, European leader in the main EC cooperation programme
International Cooperation Programme TEMPUS supports the modernization and development of higher education in the European Union neighbouring countries. The main objective of the programme is to reach the convergence the European university system derived from the Bologna Process. In November, Spain was awarded 9 of the 26 projects submitted in the 2nd TEMPUS IV Call, seven of which were directly awarded to the University of Alicante.
