city's Historian Office
The
City's Historian Office is an Institution implemented by a decree-law of
the Cuban Republic with the corresponding legislative capacities, which
allow the Historian's Office to posses patrimony, catering installations
or property shares within the Master Program for the Integral Restoration
of Old Havana. Organised inside the Patrimonial Architecture Delegation,
a multidisciplinary entity where architects and engineers work next to
jurists, sociologists, economists, psychologists, ecologists and demographers.
The Historian's Office and its colonial fortification system was assigned
in 1982 in the list of World Patrimony by the World, Cultural and Natural
Patrimony Preservation Committee of the UNESCO.
