| BUILDING OF THE FORMER BUSINESS UNIVERSITY
COLLEGE
Located on the Avenida Ramón y Cajal 4, in a building which housed the Provincial Treasury Department until the agreement signed in 27 December, 1952 for which this building became the head office for the School of Commerce - created by Royal Decree in August 1887-. Later on, this centre would be transformed into the University School of Business Studies, subsequently incorporated to the University of Alicante by the last law of the Spanish Parliament on 30 October, 1979. Details of the Business University College can be seen through the research work of Seva Villaplana V. and Martínez-Mena, M. (1988): "La Escuela de Comercio de Alicante y su influencia en el desarrollo económico alicantino" ("The Alicante's Business University College and its influence in the economic development in Alicante"). The building has been recently restored to continue with university activities connected with the Business University College's background ( Nautical Schools). and overlooked the attractive Harbour of Alicante
city , with only a wonderful and ancient garden between the building
