TEACHING QUALITY ASSESSEMENT Constitution of the University of Alicante Quality Assessment Committee , co-ordinated by the Office of the Vice President for Curricular Development . Application of teaching resources to departments within the framework of the new Plan de Financiación de las Universidades Valencianas (Valencian Universities Financial Program)-1%-, according to the criteria agreed on the amendment of the Teaching Staff Model : improvements on experimentation, stability, specific hour load, mobility and so on. It will be a priority for the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs . Creation of a Office for Teaching Quality Assessment dependent on the ICE (Education Science Institute), which will evaluate teaching activity at the campus, submitting a statistic annual report ....This Office will be responsible for making assessments (general and specific pools at the university centres, etc...) and a fulfilment of PODs, according to the commitments acquired for teaching staff job posts. Creation of a Committee for Quality Assessment in Centres) co-ordinated by the Office of the Vice-President for Centers and Studies to promote the active role of the various Faculties and Colleges for general and specific quality guarantees at each university centre and the programs taught at them . Among their mission statements we can mention the preparation and application of the Spanish State Program for the Universities Quality Assessment and the proposal of criteria for the teachers' educational activity. The CCC, thus, would encourage dean's offices and university centres' administrations in their creation, with administrative staff devoted to this task. Promotion of the ICE functions regarding its continuous teachers training program with made-to-measure courses for each specialisation and priorities defined at each university centre. Continuance in teacher training programs in connection with New Technologies Encourage international mobility and continuous teachers training programs through both external and internal announcements. Establishment of a regulations system for sabatical leaves requests. Application of the New Technologies tools for the teaching quality control. Campus on line . Investment Plan for computing equipment carried out by the Office of the Vice President for New Technologies & Curricular Devlopment. Equivalent opportunities for disabled people to develop teaching tasks through the Office on Disabilities . Active collaboration with the Students Council . Participation, motivation, complementary formation (languages and computing), professional training , new business creation . Student mobility through European programs , university networks (e.g. Joan Lluís Vives Institute ) or specific agreements with world-wide universities. Promotion of solidarity activities among students through participation in programs supporting developing countries ,  countries with specific development problems or campus coexistence with students from disadvantaged countries . Control, monitoring and diffusion of quality control of the on-campus general infrastructures, Equipment and Teaching services . Boost and develop guanrantees for the students' accomplishment of teaching obligations, claims, achievement and examinations evaluation through the person of the University Ombudsman .
