OF THE EXCHANGE PERIOD

The responsible coordinator at your home University

The Faculty/Area Coordinator at the University of Alicante

In case of an application for extension of the exchange period the following steps are to be undertaken:
Submit your intention to your home University, find out the conditions you have to fulfill and get a certificate which proves the acceptance of the extension. Your University has to submit it together with a formal requirement and committing itself to accept a student from the University of Alicante under the same condition.

Contact the Faculty/Area Coordinator (link a Coordinadores) at the University of Alicante. You will be asked to present an academic reason for the extension. You will get a written confirmation of the extension.

Submit the written confirmation of your extension to the SOCRATES Office .

IMPORTANT: SOCRATES students will not have free access to the Spanish Courses during their extension period.

If you want to support local students’ initiatives, we encourage you to do so. Any information you can bring with you about your university, region and/or country is of a great value. You are also encouraged to participate in the collaboration between International Relations and local television programmes produced by the University Media Workshop

Bear in mind that the more varied the exchange, the more productive it will be.
Do not hesitate to submit your information and suggestions to the International Relations Centre and we will give you the necessary orientation to develop your collaboration projects.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS CLUB

This is a club open to all foreign students who are at the University of Alicante, regardless of the Programme they are here with, and all Spanish students. SOCRATES/ERASMUS students form the largest group of foreign students and we encourage them to take part in all the activities organised by the International Relations Centre .
