This stamp commemorates 150 years of the Federal Techonlogy Institute (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule, ETH) in Zürich. The DNA molecule says there they work in Genetics. Switzerland, 2005.

In a set of stamps dedicated to high technology industries, this stamp is for Biotechnology. To the left, a canola plant, the first commercially
available, genetically engineered, agricultural product. Over the plant, a plasmid. To the right, several chromosomes, one of them showing the insertion of the transgene, and a DNA molecule. And this molecule is incorrectly twisted to the left, mistake already made in stamps issued in 
1964 and 2002. Canada, 1996.



This stamp cellebrates the genetic advancements of the millenium, showing a family tree and some computer circuits. Iceland is one of the countries where Human Genetics is more developed, with whole population databases. Iceland, 2000.
