Lourdes López-Ropero holds an MA
from the University of Kansas, USA, and a PhD from the University of
Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Currently, she is a Lecturer in the
English Department of the University of Alicante, Spain, where she
teaches American and Postcolonial literature. She has published
several book chapters and
articles on
different Caribbean and other Commonwealth writers: Fred D’Aguiar (New
York Press, forthcoming), Doris Lessing and Janet Frame (Rodopi,
forthcoming), Austin Clarke (World Literature Written in English),
Caryl Philips (Atlantis, Universtitätsverlag, Lexington Books),
and Paule Marshall (Miscelanea). She has recently published the
book The Anglo-Caribbean Migration Novel: Writing from the Diaspora
(Alicante
2004).
