Under recent
Spanish law, and with a view to implementing the Bologna agreements,
tertiary education in Spain has been structured in two stages, namely
undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The latter are organized by means
of Postgraduate Programmes that can lead to a Master’s Degree and/or to a
Doctoral Degree.
In order to carry out these
directives, the Universities of Alicante and Murcia have agreed to offer
an Inter-University Postgraduate Programme in English Culture and
Sociology comprising a Master's Degree and a Doctoral Degree in English
Culture and Sociology. Both separately and in combination, these degrees
provide students with a rigorous academic background, research experience,
and professional expertise in dealing with cultural phenomena of
English-speaking communities. This web site contains detailed information
about the course of study and research leading to the award of both
degrees, as well as the administrative procedures to be followed by
prospective students who wish to enrol and eventually achieve success.
